MAC Group and Sekonic are pleased to be co-sponsors, along with other imaging companies, of something truly exciting. The Santa Fe Photographic Workshop’s second contest is about to end, but there’s still time to get involved.
This time they’re going to the heart of the matter. It’s all about the light. As photographers, capturing it is what we do. Natural, studio, low key, high key, long exposures or explorations in light graffiti—how you see the light is up to you.
This contest is an opportunity for you to pause and review your photography, then join an international community of photographers and share your photographs with a distinguished panel of judges: Steve St. John, Senior Picture Editor, National Geographic Image Collection; Amy Feitelberg, Photo Editor, Outside magazine; Nevada Wier, Photographer; Reid Callanan , Director, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
You could win a workshop, and the Workshops’ educational partners and sponsors have contributed to an impressive prize list with a total value of over $12,000. Entrants have the opportunity to win one Grand Prize, one Second Prize, one Third Prize, or one of 46 Honorable Mentions. Entrants who are alumni are eligible to win one Workshops Director’s Award. Complete details of prizes can be found here.
The deadline is Thursday, March 31 (midnight PST); entry fee is $40 for three images, $10 for each additional image over three. Full details for the contest are posted on the Santa Fe Photographic Workshop site.
