Kadshah Nagibe of Sweet Production Media is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker who just recently started incorporating a light meter into his practice.
He says it has totally transformed the way he communicates with his crew. Instead of “saying I need more dramatic lighting or something ambiguous” I can “measure the light and say I need an 8:1 ratio and then dial it in.” Compared with “eyeballing the back of the camera to figure out what looks good”, using the L-478D has allowed Kadshah to be “more precise and clear,” and to “get more consistency throughout the shoot.”
There are lots of features about the L-478D that Kadshah likes, but “in short,” he writes, “it just helps with getting better results faster….”
